Terms of Service

These terms apply when you buy or use a KNJ Panel licence. By placing an order or using KNJ Panel, you agree to these terms. Questions go to info@knj.network.

The software

KNJ Panel is self-hosted software you install and run on your own server. We don't host or operate your infrastructure, and we aren't responsible for the uptime, security, or performance of the server you run it on — that's between you and your hosting provider.

Licence terms

Buying a licence gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to run one copy of KNJ Panel on one server. Specifically:

• A licence is bound to the server it's first activated on.
• If you need to move it to a different server (e.g. an IP change or migration), you can reissue it from your billing dashboard once per calendar month.
• Licences can't be transferred between different customer accounts.
• Don't circumvent, disable, or tamper with licence checks, and don't resell or redistribute licence keys.

Free trial

A fresh KNJ Panel install automatically requests a 30-day trial licence from our licence server — no card details or account with us required to start. The trial is tied to your server's own hardware identifier, not just its IP address, so wiping and reinstalling the same machine doesn't grant a second one.

If the trial (or a paid licence) lapses without a new one activated, the Controller and My Account areas lock to a licence page until a valid key is entered — this never touches your actual websites, mail, or DNS, which keep running the entire time. Panel-driven background automation (scheduled backups, SSL auto-renewal) keeps running for a further 7 days after that before it also pauses.

Payment and billing

Checkout and subscription billing are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewal, but your licence stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds

If you haven't yet activated your licence on a server, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Once a licence has been activated, we don't offer refunds — you can cancel at any time, and it'll simply stop renewing at the end of the current cycle.

Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record, separately reserves the right to issue a refund at their own discretion within 60 days of purchase to prevent a chargeback, regardless of the policy above.

Licence service availability

KNJ Panel checks in periodically with our licence server to validate your licence. If that server is temporarily unreachable, KNJ Panel keeps working normally for up to 7 days before non-critical automation pauses. We work to keep the licence server available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access to it.

Intellectual property

KNJ Network owns KNJ Panel and all associated code, design, and branding. Buying a licence gives you the right to run the software as described above — it doesn't transfer ownership of it to you.

No warranty, limited liability

KNJ Panel is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not responsible for how you configure or operate the server you run it on.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of KNJ Panel is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using KNJ Panel and cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard. We may suspend or revoke a licence if these terms are breached — for example, circumventing licence checks or reselling licence keys.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
